KNUST SRC to Launch ’Job Finder’ app to Help Students Work While in School


Good news to students in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology as the Student Representative Council (SRC) and the University authorities prepare to introduce an android mobile application known as ‘Job Finder’.

The app is expected to supplement the already existing work-and-study system in the university in order to enable students find job and work to earn some money at the end of every month as they study in school.

The president of the Student Representative Council, Mr. David Dannah revealed to students during his maiden state of the SRC address last Saturday, that the ‘Job finder’ app will be launched during the 2017 SRC week celebration in early November.

According to him, the SRC hopes that the system will be made effective to support students financially so that there will be less pressure in the future of the already existing ‘Ketewa Biara Nswa’ Bursary (KBN).

What to know

Students will logon to the app and find appropriate job that suits them base on basic criteria.

There are specific laid down terms and conditions including the time to work, how much to earn at the end of the month among others.

It is going to be working with student’s time table so that there won’t be interference and distractions in order for students not to miss lectures.

It is targeted at first year students only for the time being and expected to be expanded to all students as time goes on.

The app will provide the opportunity for students to work and earn some money whiles in school.
