Law student reports sexual abuse by lecturer

A female law student (name withheld) has written to the Faculty Board of the School of Law, in one of the popular public universities in Ghana accusing a lecturer of sexually abusing her,  kampustoday can report.

In the letter the student claimed she is reporting it now “to ensure this does not affect her results”. kampustoday’s exclusive interview with the victim reveals she even presented medical certificates showing that this episode has caused her psychological harm.

she also stated that

“Students should be bold and report such behaviours to the appropriate authorities for necessary actions to be taken “

The Faculty Board is reported to have referred the case to the offices responsible for Students and Institutional Affairs.

Dean of student Affairs is yet to comment on the report or confirm whether the issue has been reported to the police.
