6 Nursing trainees arrested for attempting to murder school director

Police in Tafo-Nhyiasoin have rounded up some nursing training students.

It is alleged that they were caught trying to steal some properties belonging to the school.

In retaliation, the stormed the Director’s house wielding weapons to attack him Some 6 nursing trainees of the Afia Serwaa Kobi Ampem Nursing Training College in Kumasi have been arrested by Police in the area for threatening and attempting to harm the Director of the school, Mr. Owusu King.

According to reports coming in from mynewsgh.com, 6 students of the institution were arrested by police on Monday night and a number of them have gone into hiding. Speaking in an interview with mynewsgh.com, Mr. Owusu King revealed that the students were caught stealing some mattresses and other properties belonging to the school and they were warned.

Mr. King continued that the students who were mostly final year students were going to be suspended for their action but they went into hiding in the female hostel which is also illegal. He revealed that at around 9:25 PM, Monday night, some angry students numbering 20 stormed his residence wielding cutlasses in an attempt to attack him and threatened to beat him to death.

Mr. Owusu King, sensing danger revealed that he called the Police in the area to come to his aid which they did. Upon arrival, the Police managed to arrest some 6 final year students but the rest have since gone into hiding but the police are on a manhunt for them. According to Kwabena Danso-Dapaah, the local reporter who was at the Tafo-Nhyiaso Divisional Police Command, the six students who were rounded up were going to be arraigned before court today to answer for their actions.

The Police is still on the lookout for the other students of the institution who were part of the ‘rebellion’.
