900 High School Students Suspended After Fight Over A Girl Escalates


In Uganda, Kabale Municipality 900 students were sent home after a fight broke out over a girl.

According to Ugandan news outlet The Daily Monitor, “the students went on a rampage and destroyed property belonging to the school neighbor identified as Mr. Rodgers Habomugisha. Riot police officers used tear gas and live bullets to disperse the rowdy students,” on the 26th of October 2017.

Apparent, a fight broke out after two warring sides, one of which was in support of a young Form 6 student at Kabale Secondary School and the other a Form 4 student (the girl’s boyfriend) went head to head.The collision between the two sides saw damage to neighboring property which saw local authorities get involved in the matter. According to local news, police continue to stand guard at the mixed school to deter more violence from breaking out.

The melee went on to see all the students involved suspend for fear of causing more damage to property.
