The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo has indicated tthatthe goal of government is to make Ghana a world-class Centre for skills development and a leading country in TVET delivery in Africa.

Speaking at the Centenary Celebrations of the Asuansi Technical Institute ,at Asuansi in the Central Region, where the President was the Special Guest of Honour on Saturday, 24th March, 2018,the President reiterated government’s decision to promote Technical Education in the Country.

The President also emphasized the importance of Technical and Vocational Education and seeked to redeem the misconception that technical and vocational education was inferior and patronized only by less endowed students.

“We want to emphasize the importance of TVET, and redeem the misconception that technical and vocational education is inferior, and patronized only by less endowed students.”he said.
