Georgia Smith, a 17-year-old Final year Student of the St. Monica’s Senior High School in the Asante Mampong Municipality was adjudged the Queen of Intelligence and Skills at the Maiden Edition of the FACE OF SHS organized by the MISS TTAG 2017 .
The queen hard a crown, sash, 4 set automatic burner ,a wall clock, exercise books and pens, 2 yards of cloth.
The event which was hosted by the St Monica College Of Education brought together three different Senior High Schools in March 10,2018 for exhibit their skills and intelligence for the Crown.
The event which was meant to project and empower young girls saw several high profiled personalities in attendance, notable among them include; a representative from Mampong Municipal Education Office, a representative from the Mampong Municipal Assembly, The Dean of student affairs and Hall Mistresses in St. Monica’s College of Education.
Miss Bridget Ansu,the MISS TTAG 2017, explain the importance of organizing such a program, she said it will help bring out the hidden treasure in them and building courageous female for national development .
She had a two days talk about “adolescent and it implications “on 8th and 9th of March.
Three schools took part in the program namely St. Monica’s SHS, St. Joseph SHS and Amaniampong SHS all in Mampong Ashanti.
Total number of participants were 14 and out of that, Georgia was Crowned as Queen.
The 2nd runner up was from Amaniapong SHS named Acheapong Owoahene, she had crown ,sash, 3set of burner, a wall clock ,exercise books, pens and 2 yards of cloth .
the 1st runner up was a student from St .Monica’s SHS named Condua Priscilla .
she also had crown, sash 3set automatic burner, a wall clock, exercise books, pens and 2 yards of cloth.
After been crowned as a Queen of this maiden program in the Municipality,Georgia expressed her happiness of taking the ultimate prize for such a wonderful and competitive program, she said this will not be the end “I will continue participating in such a programs wherever I will go after here.” Georgia said.
Miss Bridget Ansu later appealed to Ghanaians including the ministry of Art and culture to pay massive attention to such programs and also stakeholders should help sponsored some of these educative reality programs.
