A journey of thousand miles begins with a step and a determined soul reaches the destination with commitment, perseverance and hardwork. The grande finale of Miss UEW happened live at the Jophus Anamoah Conference Centre on 28th April 2k18 and it was a night of excitement, suspense, talent, tears and joy as the audience cheered their favourite contestants to the top.

The night started with a wonderful performance from the delegates, then to a talent show where all contestants came to showcase their talents on stage from dance to acting all targeting at the project they want to undertake. Then to the runway where they modeled their beautiful well designed cloths by Gabashi. From the results of live voting and talent show, 4 ladies were evicted that is Ethel, Rosemary,Elizabeth and Deborah.

After the eviction, the six remaining delegates undertook a presentation on their projects. One after they made known to the lovely audience their intention when they win. Now time for questions, these lovely ladies were questioned and with lovely answers they left for backstage.


Now time for crowning……. Tensed audience everyone willing to see their favourite contestant to be crowned next queen of UEW. I guess you can’t imagine what was happening at the JACC.

Well one is afraid, and at the end the crown belongs to just one lady. The second runner up had a cash prize, getting the opportunity to spend one week at any region of her choice and also have an electric steamer and she was Dorcas. The first runner up for Miss UEW was Jacqueline and also took home a microwave, a cash prize and also an opportunity to spend one week at any region of her choice. Now the reigning Queen of UEW is Priscilla from the Basic Education department and she also took away a cash prize and a refrigerator and also getting the opportunity to spend one week at any region of her choice.
