Poetry: At The Crossroads, written by Aseye Dzobo

We stand at the crossroad,

A beautiful sight to behold.

Cars whiz by, pedestrians stroll,

Leisurely without any care.

A feeling, common yet rare.

Strangers we were,

Friends we are

From beginning to end

Steadfast to the core.

Friendship, priceless as the ore,

Of a Jewel very much adorned.

Decisions are made,

A bond is formed,

Friendship pact so true,

Bonding us like glue.

Hands held, words whispered.

Promises made, and Hugs shared.

Tears shed,

All at the crossroad.

Goodbye, a painful parting,

But departure looming in sight,

Knowing everything is right.

At the crossroad,we shall meet.

Old ties to renew.
