Department of Theatre Arts, UEW presents a stage play titled THE BURNING OF RAGS written by Francis Imbuga and directed by Sophia Oforiwaah Sarfo.
SYNOPSIS OF THE PLAY
The Burning of Rags is a dramatization of the inevitable generational conflict that comes about when fathers hold hard and fast to the old ways while sons, who go yonder into the city, come home repudiating the ways of the ancestors. Do people nowadays still face any consequences in their upfront to tradition and customs?
This play is showing at the Amu Theatre, Central Campus. From Thursday 21st to Saturday, 23rd March 2018. Time: 7pm each night and the RATE is a coool Ghc5.
