GIJ: Timetable for end of first semester examinations released


Management of the Ghana Institute of Journalism have released the timetable for the End of First Semester Examinations for the 2019/2020 academic year.

The timetable has been posted on the school’s notice board.

Also, a digital format is being circulated on the various WhatsApp platforms of students.

For Regular students, the examination commences on November 29, 2019 as first year students write the ‘Basic French Communication’ paper.

The exams for students at the Diploma level is scheduled to start on Friday, November 24.

Per the timetable, the examination is expected to end on Saturday, December 21, 2019.

Supplementary re-sit examinations scrapped at GIJ

Students who will be unable to attain the required minimum grade at this semester’s exam will have to wait until the next academic year to retake the course as the decision by management of the Institute to scrap supplementary re-sit exam takes effect this semester.

At a durbar to interact with students last year, Rector of the school, Prof. Kwamena-Kwansah Aidoo, explained that the move was aimed at encouraging students to work hard and pass their end of semester exams.
