UEW Sets Another Record at 26th GUSA Games in 4 × 4 Relay

The University of Education, Winneba continues her impressive performances in the ongoing 26th Ghana Universities Sports Association (GUSA) games at the University of Ghana, Legon.

In the men’s 4×4 relay, the University of Education, Winneba’s team made of Neenyi Akese Arthur, Prince Charles Frimpong, Israel Anane and Owusu Gad set a new record of 3:09 breaking the old record of 3: 11 set by the University of Cape Coast some years ago. This brings to two, the number of new records set by team UEW at this year’s GUSA games. William Amponsah had earlier set a new record of 14.19 in men’s 5000 meters race.

The quartets put up splendid performances in the lead up to the record-breaking feat. The wonderful performances of the quartet have made many who had written off Team UEW in the competition to start rewriting their notes.
